The Shema Prayer
Faith in the Metaphysical

Hear, O Israel, Hashem is our G-d, Hashem is One
1118

Or

 1106=8

Or
1124=8 (letter Chet as 14)

Or

1196=17=8

The number 1118 corresponds to the three times the mid- point is touched when drawing two adjoining circles to form the number 8. This mid-point corresponds to the beginning, middle and end of Torah; to the past present and future; to the three Forefathers; to the three Foot Festivals and to the Three Temples. This point is the axis of the entire Universe from where Heaven and Earth were created. This point is "The Place"- הַמָּקוֹם on the Temple Mount where the Ark of the Covenant was placed that took up space and was "spaceless", the point of "Bittul"-ביטול (point of absolute nothingness) where the Metaphysical attaches to the Physical.
